Burn Permits
Permits are issued once a year for each calendar year. Burning is not permitted from July 1 to September 30. Permits are currently $10.00 per year.
Property Tax
The current city property tax rate is $1.57 per $1,000 assessed value. Union County collects all property taxes. Call the Union County Assessor/Tax Collector at (541) 962-1002 or visit union-county.org.
Dog Licensing
Dog licenses are required for all dogs at six months of age, or within 30 days of residency in the county. Licenses are $15/year for a spayed or neutered dog and $25 for a dog that is not. Before a license can be issued, a dog must have a rabies vaccination from a veterinarian. Owners must bring their rabies certificate and proof of spay/neuter. Learn more.
Reporting an Ordinance Violation
To report an ordinance violation, complete the Citizen Comment Form (available in Documents or at City Hall) and drop it off at City Hall.
