Looking for Volunteers
The City of Union’s rural emergency services are provided by volunteers in our community. We are always looking for new people interested in joining our valued EMS volunteers.
The City of Union is a full-service emergency provider, staffed with local volunteers. We encourage those interested in volunteering to learn about our functions, mission, plans, and accomplishments. We take our positions seriously by providing emergency services during routine calls and catastrophic events.
Become a Volunteer
City of Union Emergency Services is looking for individuals who would like to volunteer. In return, you receive invaluable hands-on training for Firefighter 1 and/or medical responder, plus the chance to help with many other duties around the fire hall (filing, washing trucks, maintenance, etc.). You must be at least 18 years of age to be a firefighter or medical responder and possess a valid driver’s license.
This is an invaluable and rewarding experience. Our volunteers are welcoming and have created a family-like atmosphere, and the department takes part in fun community activities.
To get started, complete the volunteer application forms (available in Documents under Forms & Applications, or pick up an application at City Hall). Questions? Call (541) 562-5197.
